The library’s festive roster includes the much-loved Preschool Storytimes for sparking young imaginations, a competitive Holiday Movie Trivia Contest designed exclusively for adults, and an exhilarating Nintendo Switch Party welcoming ages eight through eighteen.

Preschool Storytimes will take place every Tuesday morning in the Children's Services area, extending up until December 12, before taking a winter's rest to be back in January 2024. These gatherings play a fundamental role in fostering the earliest stages of literacy amongst our future book enthusiasts.

The Holiday Movie Trivia Contest on December 18 promises a blend of jovial rivalry and holiday spirit, where teams of adults can pit their cinematic knowledge against one another. The trivia contest's grand prize features a movie ticket and cookie prize pack, all while attendees enjoy a hot cocoa bar and cookies in the 3rd Floor Gainey Room. With space limited to ten teams, interested teams should sign up promptly to ensure their chance at the prize.

Meanwhile, youthful gamers are invited to the Nintendo Switch Party on December 29, from noon until 4 p.m. in the same room, promising a lively four hours with games like Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8 for patrons aged eight through eighteen.
