As winter tightens its grip on Owatonna, the Public Works Department unveils a new service to ensure no household is left in the cold. The 'City Wood Delivery Program' promises to keep the home fires burning by offering wood delivery to residents seeking comfort from the biting cold.

Under the program, Owatonna households within a 15-mile radius of the city limits can order up to three loads of wood per year. Delivery fees are set at $30 for those within city limits, with fees moderately rising to $45 for residents within a 10-mile radius, and peaking at $65 for distances extending up to 15 miles.

The initiative not only offers practical winter warmth but also symbolizes the city's resolve to cater to essential needs, reinforcing communal ties through service. To arrange for delivery, residents can complete an online order form or contact the Public Works Department at 507-444-4350, where the commitment to community comfort is more than just lip service—it's actionable support delivered right to your doorstep.
