The seasonal shift from winter's chill to the budding warmth of spring brings with it a welcomed change in Owatonna's parking rules. Beginning March 31, the city says farewell to the odd/even parking restrictions that have governed our streets during the snow season. While these specific limitations are lifting, residents are reminded that standard parking regulations remain steadfast, and attentiveness is necessary as sporadic spring snowfalls may still occur.

Should Mother Nature choose to blanket our city with a spring snow, the community's cooperation is sought in keeping the streets clear for snow removal. This includes heeding year-round posted signs, placing garbage and recycling bins behind the curb, and opting for off-street parking to facilitate the crews' efforts.

For a refresher or more detailed insight into the city's snow and ice removal policies, Owatonna's official information can be found at owatonna.gov/522/Snow-Ice. These guidelines are crafted to ensure the safe and efficient clearance of snow, creating unobstructed passageways for all residents throughout the changing seasons.

With the constraints of winter parking behind us, let us move forward into spring with a shared commitment to upholding the community's welfare and pristine streetscapes.
