Keep Moving with Owatonna's New Indoor Walking Program
Owatonna's West Hills Tennis and Pickleball Center introduces an Indoor Walking Program for residents to stay fit during winter, offering designated walking times around the courts.
As winter approaches and outdoor activities become limited due to cold weather, it can be difficult to keep up with a consistent exercise routine. Fortunately, the West Hills Tennis and Pickleball Center has introduced a new Indoor Walking Program to help Owatonna residents stay active and maintain their fitness goals.
The Indoor Walking Program offers pass holders a comfortable and inviting space to walk around the tennis courts, ensuring a year-round opportunity for physical activity. The program runs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., and on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. Tennis courts one through four are designated specifically for walkers, with courts five and six available when not occupied by tennis or pickleball players.
Walking is an excellent low-impact form of exercise with numerous health benefits, such as improved cardiovascular fitness, elevated mood, and increased energy levels. By participating in the Indoor Walking Program, community members have the chance to maintain their regular fitness routines while avoiding harsh winter weather conditions.
For more information on the Indoor Walking Program or to purchase a season pass, please call 507-444-4321 or visit the West Hills Tennis and Pickleball Center online catalog.
