On January 20, the Steele County History Center will host Owatonna's annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. presentation, a day rooted in remembrance and recognition of Dr. King's profound legacy. This heartfelt event promises community connection and shared reflection, brought together by the efforts of the Owatonna Human Rights Commission, alongside partners Rainbowatonna, the Alliance for Greater Equity, and Riverland Community College.

Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. to warmly welcome guests, with lunch to follow at noon. The highlight of the day will be the words of Seema Pothini, the esteemed Lead Equity Specialist of the Equity Literacy Institute and an acclaimed author. She will take the podium at 1 p.m., offering insights and inspirations that resonate with Dr. King's enduring messages of equity and justice.
